Alto is a Barn Owl (Tyto alba) and
one of the very first members of Owl Village.
He arrived together with Indian Eagle Owls,
Kii and Jiji, and since then has been loved by countless visitors.
Known as the “Prince of Owl Village”,
Alto is now evolving into the role of a true King.
He is extremely friendly and enjoys perching on people’s arms
and shoulders, always seeking close interaction with humans.
Curious by nature, Alto shows strong interest in new objects and
activities, exploring everything with his bright eyes.
What makes him unique is that he trusts and bonds so deeply
with the Indian Eagle Owls that he seems to believe he is one of them.
While kind to the Indians,
he can sometimes be a little strict with other owls—showing
both his gentle and princely sides.
With his elegant presence and affectionate personality,
Alto truly embodies the spirit of an owl prince.
