Molting Uta

Hello everyone!

Our newest big bird, Uta, is molting her feathers!
She often scratches her face with her feet and mends her back, so you may not be able to see her face for a while.
But when you notice them, you may find a little fluff sticking out, just like in the picture (lol).

Their fawning faces are adorable, so please be sure to take a picture of them!

Not only seasonal feathering to regulate body temperature, but also full-scale wing feathering has started.
Sometimes, they shed such large feathers!

Even Uta-chan, who is always very enthusiastic about flight training, is not so enthusiastic at this time of year because her feathers are uneven.
